QA Supervisor 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Fairfield, NJ 07004 QA Supervisor (1st shift, Food Industry) Zing Recruiting, in partnership with an established food manufacturer in the Fairfield, NJ area is on the search for an experienced QA/QC Supervisor to join their flavor’s production team. The candidate in this position must have prior managerial, lead, or supervisory expereince within food production.

Location:

Fairfield, NJ Hours:

7am-3pm, M-F. Flexibility to work Saturdays when needed.

Salary:

75-80K This role will support production teams, enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), lead internal audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and food safety.

QA Supervisor Responsibilities:

Supervise QA technicians and ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Monitor production operations to verify conformance to specifications and regulatory compliance (e.g., USDA, FDA, SQF). Conduct pre-operational inspections, internal audits, and support third-party audits. Maintain and update quality records including HACCP plans, CCP documentation, SOPs, and sanitation schedules. Investigate and document non-conformances, customer complaints, and deviations; implement corrective and preventive actions. Train production and QA staff on GMPs, food safety, quality policies, and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R D, Operations, Sanitation, and Maintenance) to improve product quality and resolve quality issues. Support calibration and maintenance of QA equipment. Assist with product traceability and recall readiness exercises. Review and release batch records and QA holds as needed.

QA Supervisor Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or related field (preferred). 2-4 years of experience in quality assurance within the food or dairy industry. Strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and

FDA/USDA

regulations. Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office and QA software systems. Strong attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills.
