In this role, your focus will be to ensure technical compliance and exceptional quality of Phillip Jeffries products. You will report to the Pre-Production Manager and work a hybrid schedule, which requires you to be on-site in our Fairfield, NJ office 3-4 days per week. What You’ll Be Doing Leadership Support quality control through inspections, product testing, installation evaluations, and claims documentation Apply defined product quality tolerances in collaboration with Design Logistics, Product Development, and suppliers, while reporting discrepancies to the Quality Manager Help streamline claim processing, defect escalation, and issue reporting to ensure speed, accuracy, and cost-efficiency Maintain and update the centralized defect database to identify trends and support Sales and Customer Experience teams Contribute insights to Quality Assurance to generate actionable claims reports and support vendor improvement initiatives Assist in improving color consistency by following standardized grey scales and monitoring vendor adherence Participate in vendor meetings (via phone or Zoom) to share quality observations and align on standards Collaborate with the Quality Control Technician team to achieve shared inspection and reporting goals Engage in regular team meetings to stay aligned, share updates, and receive guidance Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture that drives continuous improvement Product Development Product Testing & Certifications Oversight Assist with domestic and international fire testing procedures to ensure compliance and timely testing across all product collections Track testing activities and submit budget-related documentation to support cost control and accuracy Gather information on sustainability certification requirements and help facilitate vendor communications under the guidance of the Quality Manager Support Sales teams by preparing assigned testing results and sustainability documentation in coordination with the Quality Control Technician team Product Installation Testing Support the Technician team in conducting installation testing for new collections and document observations based on established guidelines Complete assigned pre-launch testing tasks within required timeframes to ensure readiness for product collection releases Provide feedback to the Marketing team on installation instructions and handling guides based on testing outcomes Training, Documentation & Internal Collaboration Support internal training efforts by preparing materials and participating in sessions focused on Quality Control protocols and testing procedures Maintain assigned sections of process documentation, inspection SOPs, and certification records in alignment with established standards Adhere to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for processing technical inquiries, claims, and product documentation tasks Contribute to quarterly reviews of product technical specifications by identifying and flagging discrepancies for correction Ensure technical documents and updates are accurately filed in the WFX/PLM system as directed What You Bring to the

7+ years of experience in Quality Control, Product Development, Manufacturing, or Textile/Wallcovering industries. 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing Quality Control or Quality Assurance functions. Expertise in textile/vinyl construction, printing processes, adhesives, and fire testing standards (ASTM E84, EN 13501, etc.). Working knowledge of sustainability standards (LEED, low-VOC certifications, environmental product declarations). Strong experience with PLM systems (WFX preferred), quality data tracking, and KPI reporting. Formal training in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies strongly preferred. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional leadership and client-facing documentation. Strategic thinker with operational execution ability and a strong attention to detail.
