Mid-level 3 years Bachelor’s degree HACCP Attention to detail Performance Improvement (PI) QA/QC Organizational skills Product audits Computer skills Quality audits Communication skills Full Job Description The Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. This role focuses on maintaining documentation, assisting in audits and inspections, and coordinating quality-related activities across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the development and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and quality documentation. Assist with internal audits and regulatory inspections, including preparation of materials and follow-up on corrective actions. Maintain document control systems and ensure timely revision and distribution of controlled documents. Monitor QA metrics, such as deviations, CAPAs, and training compliance. Review production, cultivation, and laboratory records for accuracy and completeness. Help investigate quality incidents and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate and track employee training related to quality and compliance. Support product release processes by ensuring batch records are reviewed for completeness and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., cannabis board, FDA, GMP, OSHA, etc.).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, quality, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in a regulated industry (cannabis, pharmaceutical, food, etc.) in a QA/QC or compliance-related role. Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, state cannabis regs, etc.). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent computer skills Ability to create SOP’s and write detailed reports

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Office and production environment; must be comfortable moving between administrative and operational spaces. May require occasional lifting up to 25 lbs, standing for extended periods, or wearing PPE when entering production zones. Ability to work flexible hours when needed for audits or deadlines.
