Job Description

Internal Audit Team. Manage, coordinate, and control all areas relating to Quality Control

  • > gage control
  • gage calibration, and gage R & R > coordinate measuring functions > SPC
  • process evaluation > receiving, in-process, and final inspection > control plan development Responsible for all dimensional, metallurgical, and destructive testing on products.

Oversee the quality performance and development of our raw material suppliers and secondary sources performance monitoring quality audits. Assists in product design, review, and evaluation through the Contract Review Team. Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability. Investigates customer complaints regarding quality. Advanced Product Quality team leader. Responsible for ensuring that proper equipment and well-trained people are available to perform the above tasks. Has the authority to discontinue production to correct a quality problem. Responsible for all long-range planning for the department. Ensure all safety practices are followed by all employees.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages subordinate supervisor who supervises employees in the Quality Control Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Directly supervises the Metallurgist(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
