Quality Manager 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars North East, PA On behalf of our client, Procom Services is seeking a Quality Engineer in Erie, PA 16428 The Quality Manager oversees all Quality Department processes, personnel, practices, and activities to meet or exceed customers’ needs and agreed upon expectations. The Quality Manager ensures compliance with
ISO 9001
via designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to meet or exceed applicable regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement companywide. This position identifies financial, manpower, training, and equipment needs to meet department obligations, and provides technical leadership throughout the organization as well within their business relations with suppliers and customers. The Quality Manager is a vital part of the leadership team who fosters growth-focused departmental performance reviews to help the company remain effective, lean and fiscally responsible.
Key Accountabilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Train, direct, manage, and motivate the Quality Department to adhere to procedures and standards Foster professional growth for Quality Department staff Coaches employees regularly on work performance, safety, housekeeping, and process improvement. Conduct annual performance evaluations to support employee long term growth and development. Administer discipline and corrective action, up to termination, in accordance with company guidelines
Safety, Health and Environmental Responsibilities:
Be a champion for safety, health and environmental compliance. Support proactively identifying and taking action to eliminate potential safety hazards. Ensure compliance with government, corporate, equipment, and supplier safety rules/regulations and best management practices. Support 5S to foster an accident-free work environment.
Quality Department Management Responsibilities:
Establish, maintain, and enforce quality standards, policies, and procedures throughout Electric Materials based on ISO 9001, six sigma, and lean principles. Ensure compliance throughout all processes and products to meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and agreed-upon customer requirements. Collect, analyze, and interpret production quality data to identify trends, areas for near-term and long-term improvement, and potential issues. Lead process-improvement; identify, design, develop, initiate and evaluate the impact of efforts taken. Manage and maintain the quality audit documentation system to assure past, present, and future compliance. Maintain a calibration management system for inspection, measuring, and test equipment to comply with expected standards. Regularly report on internal and external nonconformances and lead the pursuit of resolving these issues. Develop and foster business relations with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Keep management appraised of potential product liability litigation and related matters. Support daily efforts towards zero defects; provide guidance on root cause and corrective actions. Actively participate in annual budgetary planning to support Quality financial, leadership, and labor needs. Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Education:
At a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree is a relevant manufacturing, engineering, management or related field is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree strongly desired and will be given preference.
Work Experience:
Must have 5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing with demonstrated professional Quality experience, ideally withing a management role is preferred.
