Quality Control Manager Warren Electric Heating Technologies 36 Franklin Street, Warren, RI 02885

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Control Manager who will be directly responsible for performing all aspects of Quality in a manufacturing environment, specifically Electric Immersion Heaters. The successful candidate will own the day-to-day execution of all quality activities from inspections and testing, Incoming inspections, Process Improvements and Training, all in accordance with

ISO 9001

(2015), UL/CE/ASME. ASME experience is desirable but not required, you must be willing to learn ASME standards and process. You will Plan, coordinate, and perform quality assurance/control functions to ensure the continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties: Manage the Company quality system to ensure compliance with ISO. Act as the company’s ISO Representative, maintain and update all quality control manuals, perform internal ISO audits. Interact with external auditors and inspectors, including ISO, ASME, UL, and customers. Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine effectiveness of present standards and propose improvements to quality and reliability of finished product. Maintain quality control objectives and coordinate with production procedures in cooperation with production management to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Plan, organize, and perform training activities for Company employees as related to product quality, production, and reliability. Manage the calibration program for production and test equipment. Perform activities related to Non-Conforming Materials. Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Direct the Company’s process inspection, welding inspections, first article inspections, and final inspections. Perform vendor quality audits and approve vendors for internal qualified vendor database, and review contracts for quality requirements. Investigate customer complaints regarding quality and complete appropriate corrective action requests to improve processes and products. Investigate production issues and develop solutions to improve the efficiency, quality, and safety of Company operations and products. Member of the Company Facility Safety and inspection team. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has direct supervisory responsibility for all Quality related topics. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred. ASME experience desired but not required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical documents, common scientific journals, operating and maintenance manuals, legal documents and procedure manuals. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings including tolerance specifications. Ability to respond to common inquiries or issues from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, vendors, and/or company employees. Competent with computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook. SolidWorks a plus. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to use common measuring instruments and electrical test equipment. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Physical Requirements General office / Manufacturing Environment Ability to continuously stand or walk. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing written and electronic figures, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small defects. Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks. May occasionally involve repetitive movements. Frequently sit, sort, file paperwork or parts, grasp lightly, and use fine manipulation, bend, lift, carry, push and pull objects that weigh 35 pounds or less. Multi-tasking with frequent interruptions. Occasionally write by hand, use a telephone, twist, bend, stoop, and squat. Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with coworkers, customers, and vendors. Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety; communicates safety concerns; uses and promotes safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned.
