Pay Rate :
We are seeking a highly motivated Traveling Project Quality Supervisor to support quality initiatives across multiple automotive project sites. This position requires frequent travel, including out-of-state assignments, and extended hotel stays while leading temporary or short-term quality projects. In this role, travel assignments may sometimes be scheduled in advance; however, the supervisor must be prepared to mobilize on short notice when business needs arise. Flexibility, adaptability, and a “get up and go” mindset are critical to success.
Hourly Pay:
$26-$30/hour
Travel Stipend (Tiered):
31-100 miles: $60/day
101-250 miles: $100/day
251+ miles or
Out of State:
$140/day
Mileage Reimbursesment:
Paid at the current IRS rate
Travel Bonuses:
$150 short-notice deployment bonus (under 24 hours’ notice)
$500 long-term project bonus (for 6+ week assignments)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise on-site quality teams and ensure adherence to customer-specific and industry quality standards.
- Lead start-up activities for temporary projects, including team coordination, training, and site readiness.
- Monitor quality performance, conduct audits, and provide corrective action guidance when needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, quality issues, and client communication.
- Travel frequently to assigned project sites (including overnight and multi-week stays), sometimes with little advance notice.
- Maintain accurate project records and submit required reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications - Prior supervisory experience in quality, inspection, or manufacturing (automotive industry experience strongly preferred).
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including out-of-state assignments and hotel stays, sometimes with short notice.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet travel requirements.
