REGIONAL WARRANTY MANAGER

DUNCAN, SC As a member of the Warranty team, the Regional Warranty Manager will be responsible for customer interface for warranty on European and Asian OEM’s in North America. Analysis of warranty Data and managing of warranty costs for Lear. The Regional Warranty Manager will be responsible for ensuring the application, sustaining, improving, and auditing of Lear Warranty Global Procedures and the customer specific warranty requirements.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to: Analyzing warranty part returns and warranty data from customers in customer and Lear databases Manage internal and external supplier notifications
Ensuring responsiveness from internal and external suppliers with root cause determination, corrective actions, and closure of supplier quality issues using the internal supplier tracking database
Interface with Customer and Lear Engineering, Program Management, Operations, as well as Quality
Preparing monthly and quarterly reports for multiple customers and Lear facilities
Owns

IATF 16949/VDA/CQI

compliance and sustaining conformity for the location and any satellite sites
Confirms the completion of internal and external management systems audits in accordance with formal audit plans and the effectiveness of identified corrective actions Function as internal expert on customer specific requirements regarding warranty Responsible for the organization and participation in external audits conducted at the location with the defined Registrar/Certification Body
Include the review, follow up, and closure confirmation of corrective actions associated with documented observations or non-conformances
Escalate issues to Global Warranty Director/Plant Quality teams/Safety Teams when appropriate

Your Qualifications:

Knowledge of VDA- Field Failure Analysis;

BMW GS:

95004 and/or CQI-14
Ability to interpret customer standards for various requirements for audit compliance
Competent in quality tools, and process/production control methods such as: APQP, FMEA, Control Plans AIAG Core tools – Control Plans, MSA, PPAP, SPC, Capability Studies
Knowledge of strategies such as product lifecycle management (PLM), just-in-time, and self-directed teams as needed to effectively implement these strategies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills using 8D methodology:
Is-Is Not, Fishbone diagram, Brainstorming, Affinity Diagrams, Three-legged 5 Why
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes and efficiencies, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of the various functions of an automotive plant such as maintenance, quality, production control, safety, quality, operations, and materials as needed to oversee and direct employees in these functions.
Knowledge of Lear’s organizational rules, regulations, procedures, and practices as needed to oversee processes and human resources. Strong communication and coordination skills
Experience in Management Systems
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Able to manage multiple tasks and track due dates to ensure timely closures or on-time submissions
Strong auditing skill set with 3+ years’ experience in internal audits

auditor training (Preferred lead auditor training), Internal Audit qualifications in the relevant management systems
