Job Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Traveling Supervisor to oversee a team of 6-9 employees at a manufacturing facility in Iowa. This role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in manufacturing and inspection tools, including gauges and quality control processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of supervisory experience, a working knowledge of various gauges (pressure, go/no-go, etc.), and the ability to coordinate closely with both the on-site team and project supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage a team of 6-9 employees at manufacturing sites. Ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and to standard. Conduct and support quality control inspections. Utilize and train employees on various gauges (pressure, go/no-go, etc.). Communicate effectively with team members and project leadership. Relay important updates, issues, and progress reports to the Project Supervisor. Maintain a professional and safety-conscious work environment. Travel to various project sites in Iowa as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role (manufacturing/production environment preferred). Strong understanding of manufacturing tools and equipment, especially gauges. Reliable personal transportation. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to travel and stay on-site during the project duration.
Preferred:
Experience with quality control inspection processes. Familiarity with various inspection tools and techniques.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive wage based on experience. $25-28.00/hour Hotel accommodations and per diem provided during travel. Transportation costs covered at the start and end of the project. Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.
