Quality Inspector Hyundai Steel America, Inc. 200 Team Member Ln, Greenville, AL 36037 Job Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality of inbound and outbound products that is produced and provided to and by

HYUNDAI STEEL.

The Quality Inspector will analyze quality defects and uphold quality standards in order to meet the needs of the company.

Position responsibilities:

• Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production operator.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests
• Documents inspection results by completing reports/logs.
• Checking operator log to ensure complete. Report any discrepancy to Shift Leader.
• Red tag non-conforming product.
• Prepare and submit problem reports to production and quality team
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by ensuring they are working properly and replacing/fixing non-working equipment
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
• Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product
• Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards
• Use cup test machine to test weld per instructions
• Maintain required records of inspection.
• Review MFL and SOS settings daily.
• May be required to train other team members
• Authorized to shut down a machine if non-conforming product is found
• Required to rotate lines every quarter.
• Required to work at any production line if necessary
• Stop shipments and production when non-conforming product is present.
• Additional duties as assigned by upper management Qualifications
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• One to two years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience working in automotive industry preferred
• Experience with measure devices such as tape measure and micrometer preferred
