Inspector III – B
Location:
Huntsville, AL Job Responsibilities:
Implement receiving inspection methodologies to support the manufacture, assembly, and test for various spaceflight systems.
Inspect material per inspection plan such as dimensions, part marking, and traceability.
Review all supplied documentation for hardware acceptance per Purchase Order requirements.
Provide feedback to engineers and buyers with dimensional data.
Document, track, and complete discrepancy reports.
Assist with maintaining and tracking all inspection equipment calibrations.
Skills Required:
5-7 years experience in receiving or dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
Intermediate GD&T comprehension per
ASME Y14.5M-1994
standard.
Excellent communication skills and ability to use precision hand tools, gages, optical comparator, and surface plate work.
Familiarity with the use of personal computers and ability to select the correct tool for the inspection task.
Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates.
Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware.
