Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Follows established procedures on routine work and requires instructions only on new assignments. Works on assignments with supervision relevant to materials management. Provides shipping and receiving support or parts or products. Follows SOPs and ensures compliance to regulations including FDA and safety. Performs receiving, initial inspection and storage for GMP and non-GMP materials under SOP control. Performs cycle count activities. Updates data in ERP. May initiate and maintain inventory control records. Loads and unloads materials and products on trucks and trailers. Interfaces with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, and Purchasing. Receives, stores, moves and issues raw materials and finished goods. Performs cleaning activities associated with maintaining the warehouse. Delivers materials to end users. Uses materials handling equipment including forklift for materials movement. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualification Requirements Requires a minimum of a High School diploma. Equivalent experience may be accepted. A minimum of 2 years’ industry experience is required. A minimum of 1 year warehouse or manufacturing experience is required. Experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry is a plus. Working knowledge of FDA and GMP requirements is a plus. Experience in computer-based systems including MRP is a plus. Strong attention to detail regarding documentation is required. Good communication skills, both oral and written are a must. Must be able to follow Standard Operating Procedures. Excellent organizational skills are required. Physical Requirements Ability to meet physical requirements for up to 8 hours per day including: Must be capable of walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching for long periods of time. Repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves. Must be capable of performing repetitive motions and lifting small to medium sized loads of up to 50 pounds. Work outside and inside. Work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles. Work within refrigerated (5C) and frozen(-20C) warehouses for extended periods of time. Occasional climbing of ladders; usage of pallet jacks. Employees must be able to wear a respiratory protection (filtering facepiece, 1/2 face, full- face, or powered air purifying respirator, supplied air, or self-contained breathing apparatus) for certain tasks essential to the job function. Performance of tasks essential to the job function may require the employee to work directly with, handle, or otherwise come into contact with chemicals or pharmaceutical agents. Employees must be able to able to accurately detect color and have 20/20 vision (with/without corrective lenses). Employees may be required to enroll in a medical surveillance program based on the potential exposure to certain health hazards encountered as a result of their job function. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check for employment consideration.
