Performs a variety of physical and visual inspections of products and services determine conformity quality to requirements using quality inspection specialty tools and equipment. Documents inspection and test results and provides the status of in process inspections and testing. Documents deficiencies and ensures compliance with work travelers during receipt, in-process, and final inspection activities. Provides surveillance and complies with established QMS procedures and recommends improvement, where needed. Performs receiving inspection, test, and examination of products and services received from subcontractors to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements, documentation is as required, and product is identified as required. Interfaces with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing to coordinate and resolve quality-related issues. Properly completes company and customer paperwork as needed. Stands, walks, climbs and sits. Must be able to use inspection instruments, tools and computers. May be required to lift heavy loads; following safety guidelines. Assist co-workers in other areas when needed. Minimum Skills and Competencies Must be able to read and interpret technical data, drawings, schematics and specifications. Must be knowledgeable in the application of mechanical inspection techniques. • Must know how to use inspection tools, such as: micrometers, calipers, radius gages, height gages, etc. Must have CMM experience using PC-DMIS Minimum Education and Experience Must have 2+ years of experience in quality product inspection. 5+ years preferred. Experience with optical comparators and Faro Arms is a plus. High school diploma or GED is required. A degree in science, math or engineering or equivalent is desired. Must have experience using and interpreting GD&T.
