We are seeking a reliable and hands on Potting and Encapsulation Technician, Entry-Level to support the production of electronic components by performing potting, encapsulation, and related tasks. This role involves working with various resins, epoxies, and silicones to protect sensitive electronic assemblies. Ideal for someone looking to grow in a technical manufacturing environment with on-the-job training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare materials and components for potting and encapsulation processes. Mix and handle potting compounds (epoxies, silicones, urethanes) following work instructions. Dispense materials into molds, housings, or assemblies using manual or automated equipment. Operate curing ovens, vacuum chambers, and related equipment safely and accurately. Inspect completed units for quality, consistency, and defects. Maintain detailed records of materials, lot numbers, and process steps. Follow all safety and handling procedures, including the use of PPE. Support general production tasks as needed (e.g., cleaning molds, prepping components). Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements and Desired Skillsets High school diploma or GED required, technical school or associate degree a plus. Some experience with manufacturing, assembly, or lab work preferred (internships or school projects count). Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Comfortable working with chemicals and mechanical tools. Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols. Basic math and measurement skills. Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced production environment. Physical Description Employees in these positions will work in an assembly, manufacturing, and production environment, as well as in equipment assembly areas using technical and electronic testing equipment, including specialized software. They will collaborate with various personnel in a manufacturing or testing setting, attend meetings, contribute to team efforts, deliver timely results, produce reports, and communicate information effectively. Telework may be included. In specialized laboratory or testing environments, employees will use electronic testing equipment, complex systems, and computer software. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, protective footwear, and lab coats may be required.
