Full Job Description QC Inspector/Technician Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector/Technician to support warehousing operations in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. The QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all incoming, stored, and outgoing materials meet required standards for quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulations as well as RMAs (Return to Manufacturer).
Responsibilities:
Perform inspections of incoming and outgoing materials, equipment, and supplies in accordance with DoD and contract requirements. Validate proper storage, labeling, and handling of inventory to ensure compliance with safety and accountability standards. Identify, document, and report non-conforming items or discrepancies in materials or documentation. Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues. Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and logs in accordance with applicable standards (Ensure adherence to physical security, safety, and environmental guidelines). Inspect and examine equipment and ensure accurate labeling of equipment. Performs inventory in assigned areas. Preparing completed kits for shipment. Confirms proper goods are stocked and packaging material is removed from the work area. Reads and understands specific packaging requirements. Manage RMA (return to Manufacturer). Coordinate with government POCs and vendors items repairs. Maintain RMA log. Provide program manager with RMA status report. Adhere to the company’s AS9100 policies, procedures and guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
Education and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or military training preferred. 2+ years of experience in warehouse quality control, preferably in a military or DoD contractor environment with military supply systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Computer technical abilities are required. Performs aspects of technical supply management work (e.g. inventory management, storage management, cataloging related to supply activities, technical ability with computer hardware/software. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. An active secret clearance is preferred. U.S. Citizenship (required for positions involving government property or security clearance). Prior military logistics or QA/QC experience is preferred. OSHA or quality control certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) is a plus.
