The Lab Tech performs routine testing of raw materials, process intermediate streams and finished products assuring conformity to established specifications. The position supports AMVAC’s manufacturing plant that operates 24 hours, 7 days a week and will involve shift work to accommodate production schedules. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine testing and physical characterization of sample analyses utilizing Gas Chromatography (GC) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) instruments working under the direction of senior lab staff Record and report result clearly and concisely in a timely manner Comply with all regulatory safety and environmental requirements including PPE guidelines Maintain a clean and safe work area per OSHA and GLP standards and follow company policies and safety practices Perform other assignments as directed
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Able to read and understand analytical methods and follow procedures Experience and/or training in Quality Control (manufacturing; chemistry lab; etc.) Chemistry background in analytical, organic and/or inorganic laboratory (GLP) techniques preferred Computer Skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Must be able to effectively communicate with other people in the department and with production personnel (verbal and written) Participate in the Safety monthly blood-draw program and wear a respirator Able to work shifts and weekends Must be able to pass post-offer physical, background checks and other appropriate tests as required
