THE WORK
  • Perform duties necessary to lete the manufacturing, overhaul, repair, modification and/or refurbishment of aircraft avionic and electrical systems.
  • Work independently, or as part of a team, according to specifications and other written or oral instructions.
  • Work from general instructions, drawings, engineering information and sketches, etc. to lete lex electronic installation and checkout assignments on any model aircraft.
  • Assist in the evaluation/troubleshoot and test aircraft and systems, correct discrepancies and repair and/or replace malfunctioning equipment.
  • Make equipment alignments and general systems synchronization such with blade fold, landing gear or ramp control systems.
  • With power on, make necessary operations checks of equipment and wiring of various sections or onents as required to insure correctness of installation and troubleshoot the system to investigate and resolve system failures and insure aircraft is acceptable for flight status.
  • Utilize highly specialized testing and monitoring equipment to check and troubleshoot electric and electronic installations.
  • Make necessary entries to aircraft forms and records. Install various avionic and/or electronic units as required.
  • Wire and/or repair bench and field-test equipment utilized in aircraft checkout as required.
  • Recognize safety and inspection requirements and ensure liance with existing policies and procedures and reend improvements.
  • Determine alternate means of performing assigned work when traditional methods or equipment are not available, obtain necessary approvals and implement alternate methods.
  • Assist in determining corrective actions and/or improve processes.
  • Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
  • As required, segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $49,100

  • $94,100.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
