Quality Inspector On Time Distribution Darlington, SC 29532
SUMMARY:
Responsible for inspection of raw materials, in process and finish goods in accordance with associated specifications. Also responsible for performing random audits as required for ensuring products and processes meet the appropriate specifications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform quality inspection of products and processes. Inspect product quality, using standard methods, against published specifications. Reject non-conforming products in accordance with document 4.13-01 Control of Non-Conforming Products. Recommend alternate uses / disposition of off spec components. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities. Able to use email and some knowledge of excel. Clean and maintain work area. Complete daily quality inspection reports as necessary. Accurately complete process documents Promote teamwork and build a culture of continuous improvement Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Strong print reading skills Excellent basic inspection skills with the ability to conduct part inspection layout using a tape measure, calipers, height gage, durometer and micrometers. Strong computer skills with MS Office applications. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers Ability to lift to 50 pounds required. Able to work overtime as needed. Able to perform all duties and responsibilities listed safely and wear required Personal Protective Equipment as required. Able to report every workday, on time and for the entire shift. Must have positive attitude and strong work ethic
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. The warehouse area is not climate controlled and can get hot during summer and cold during winter months. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, back support belt and gloves. Must be able to hear, speak, reach, bend, twist, squat, push and pull.
PAY RATE BASED ON EXPERIENCE
