Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Weld Inspector to join our Quality team. This role is responsible for conducting in-process and final inspections of metal fabrications and roll-formed parts to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. Inspections may cover all aspects of production, from incoming materials to final product approval.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-process and final inspections for dimensional accuracy, weld quality, paint finish, and other specifications per drawings to identify nonconformances.
• Ensure welds comply with applicable standards, codes and regulations.
• Identify nonconformances and document inspections, reporting findings to supervision as needed.
• Assist production employees by clarifying specifications and addressing quality-related questions.
• Support in-house calibration of measuring instruments.
• Maintain and update customer drawing files.
• Assist with

compliance and audits.

• Create, edit, and complete quality documentation.
• Participate in customer and vendor visits as required.
• Aid in evaluating and confirming all quality procedures are followed and implemented.

Qualifications:

• Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to assess weld quality and recommend corrective actions for defects such as undercut, porosity, incomplete fusion, cold welds, etc.
• Knowledge of weld symbols and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing); proficiency is required or must be obtained upon hire.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, and protractors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mathematical skills, including basic geometry.
• Experience working with both standard and metric measurement systems.
• Familiarity with
