Description Monitor, observe, and sample materials used in construction work Perform routine field and laboratory tests and inspections to verify conformity with construction plans and specifications Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintain cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, and contractors Prepare daily reports and data sheets Operate with close to moderate supervision
Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree with an emphasis in physical sciences and/or math preferred Ability to professionally communicate both orally and in writing Good driving record Perform heavy lifting of 50 or more pounds Work in outdoor (hot or cold) environments One year of testing experience in soil, concrete, earthwork, and asphalt preferred (but not required)
