Scope:
Following safety and quality protocols, QC Tech 1 is responsible for the precise analysis of all Parrish SCBU raw materials, intermediate and finished good products. Must be proficient in all instrumentation necessary to complete the task (FTIR, titrators, viscometer, etc.), as well as the ERP system (AX) used in recording and maintaining analysis. Comply with strict safety procedures Collect sample from the production facilities when needed Test product samples precisely as defined by documented laboratory procedures Receive and off-load raw material into designated storage tanks when needed Carry out other routine tasks accurately and follow strict methodologies Maintain and operate standard laboratory instrumentation & equipment Accurately record & manage results in collection databases, i.e. AX ERP System Communicate timely any deviations in quality to immediate supervisor Occasional travel to other Company sites (e.g. Samoset) as necessary Assist with the housekeeping, stocking and resourcing of laboratory Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the company. High School Education or equivalent (G.E.D.) Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to the position Flexibility/Adaptability specific to evolving processes, schedules and priorities Strong interpersonal skills Familiarity in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word) Basic math and computing skills necessary for precise calculations Acceptable hand-eye coordination to accurately measure and operate instruments Ability to safely and efficiently carry out all job duties Ability to adhere to strict operating procedures with an attention to detail
