Commerce St, East Berlin, CT 06023 Job Summary Conduct and coordinate all work-in-process inspection, final inspection and incoming inspection. Self-schedule inspection processes Utilization of calipers, size blocks, depth gages, indicators, height gages, comparators among others Duties and Responsibilities Inspect, document, and sign off of all work-in-process and final inspection Work in cooperation with CNC operators on first piece inspections Visual Inspection of part finishes, cavity finishes and identifying part defects. Communication with all departments on status, quality issues, and any other relevant information Read and analyze drawing specifications and details Final inspection reports and final inspection photos Complete incoming rework inspection, incoming photos and water check processes and documentation Inspect, document, and sign off of all work-in-process and final inspection Operation of laser etching machine to mark parts during inspection processes. Documentation of any near misses or misses for corrective action. Recommend manufacturing improvement measures. Qualifications and Requirements Ideal candidate will have experience in Packaging, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering. 1+ yrs. (at minimum) experience as a Quality Inspector or shop floor position in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and comprehend Manufacturing Blueprints Ability to multi-task Strong attention to detail and organization Strong communication skills-including presentation and platform Must have substantial fast paced work environment exposure.
