About the

Role:

The Quality Control Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day Quality Control requirements as part of our Quality Management System. This position acts as a liaison between operations and management to ensure that all products meet our stringent quality standards. The role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest levels of quality in a dynamic environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Actively monitor product for conformity based on Work Order specifications, instructions and control plans Need to be able to work independently and consistently perform the expected number of inspections as required by leadership.
Communicate identified non-conformances to the designated authority and escalate if necessary. Participate in problem resolution, where appropriate.
Documents inspections and non-conformances using prescribed methods as directed by leadership to support data collection and reporting. Verify production procedures are being followed. Document any non-conformity.
Develop a basic understanding of the manufacturing equipment and production processes, with focus on quality controls.
This job requires a high level of attention to detail and ability to stay focused in a dynamic environment.
Cross train as required to develop skills.
Complete online courses as assigned by the organization. Record and verify work hours daily in the payroll system via time clock Act in accordance with the organization’s corporate information security, safety, and Human Resources policies.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Basic keyboard and computer skills.
Ability to read and understand documents related to the Quality Management System.
Capable of writing clear and concise statements to describe identified issues and non-conformances.
Strong communication skills for gathering essential information, answering questions, and conveying issues to leadership.
Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and leadership.
The role requires a considerable amount of time standing, walking, and stooping.
May require occasional lifting, lowering, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lbs.
Previous quality inspection inspection experience, or experience in a production/manufacturing environment would be preferred but not required.
Candidate would spend considerable time on their feet and walking from machine to machine to perform inspections.
Some light lifting may be involved.
Overtime during peak production periods may be required.
