Quality Engineer in Prospect,CT,US Position Available In Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, Connecticut

Internal Audits & Documentation

• Manage and perform internal quality audits. Maintain accurate records of completed audit checklists. Production Support & Troubleshooting
• Lead and resolve real-time quality issues on the production floor in collaboration with Quality Techs and Machine Technicians. Conduct rework and acceptability trials; report results to the Quality Manager (QM) and/or Production Manager (PM). Investigate and lead quality issue root cause analysis. Calibration, Gage R&R & Data Analysis
• Monitor and assist with calibration and programming of Retina, Mectron, and Oasis systems. Conduct Gage R&R studies and input results into Minitab statistical software. Review folders and prior production problems; verify GE Fanuc software is validated and functional for Quality Technicians. PPAP & Compliance
• Prepare and send out PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) packages, gathering necessary studies and reports from Supervisors. Ensure labeling and packaging in ERP system comply with customer specifications. Complete quality surveys and manage uploads to platforms such as Medtronic SQM. Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management
• Participate in corrective and preventive action initiatives. Support the design and improvement of systems to capture and retain tribal knowledge. Assist the Quality Manager as needed with ongoing projects or special assignments. Supplier Quality Assurance
• Maintain familiarity with supplier processes and monitor their quality performance.
