The ideal candidate will have both machine shop and inspection background. Candidates should have a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. Knowledge and comprehension of quality standards and equipment is essential. Must be able to read blueprints. The goal is to ensure that all shipped products are within tolerance and meet all customer specifications, and to inspect and contain all non-conforming material before it leaves the shop. This is a part-time, on-site position for approx. 15-25 hours a week to start with the possibility of more hours as more work comes into the shop. The schedule can be flexible so candidates can choose the hours that best fit their schedule any time between 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Responsibilities and Requirements Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality requirements for the product Perform First Article Inspection on each new order and documenting results Approve or reject parts with respect to quality standards; record supplier performance Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.) Calibrate measurement equipment and maintain accurate, up to date calibration logs Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc. Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager Experience in quality inspection or relevant role Attention to detail and a results-driven approach Responsible and trustworthy Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies (experience with standards such as

ISO 9000, AS

9100, etc.) Working knowledge of MS Office High School Degree; Further qualifications will be a plus
