Program Summary As an Assembly, Integration, and Test Technician II, you are responsible for the manufacturing and production of the assigned products of your station by following our standardized manufacturing operating procedures. You will observe and inspect our equipment and operations to ensure proper operation and compliance to our safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform and complete equipment set-up, operation, postproduction clean-up, and waste disposal. Assemble and/or test satellite sub-assemblies and top-level assemblies using various tools and work instructions. Perform operations and show proficiency on multiple stations (Assembly or Test) within your assigned department. Complete in-process testing as required and update analytical staff on anticipated testing needs. Able to work consistently, quickly, and accurately meeting department standards. Accurately monitor and report labor hours to multiple projects. Knowledge in the principles of lean manufacturing and 5S is a plus. You may be assigned and expected to perform duties not otherwise contained in this description.

Qualifications Education:

High school diploma, or GED equivalent

Experience:

2-3+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment (automated systems a plus). Experience working in an Aerospace environment is a plus. Experience in using test equipment or mechanical assembly equipment in a Manufacturing environment is a plus. Experience working in high volume manufacturing a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

Must be able to review and understand written procedures and technical documents in English. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and technical. Must be able to communicate effectively through notes and emails. High level of attention to detail and utilize scientific thought and critical thinking. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

Able to capture concise procedures in a written document. Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, is a plus.

U.S. Citizenship required

Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Active DoD security clearance at Top Secret/ SCI desirable.

Travel:

able to travel independently and at short notice.

Walking:

able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
