Full Job Description General Description:

This position provides operational management of new business development projects and ongoing certification, compliance, and technical service programs. Serves as liaison with contract manufacturers and regulatory agencies for technical information requests and guidance. Researches and supports foreign product registration needs. Supports technical service functions such as raw material qualification, RFQ preparation and specification management. Maintains internal Quality Assurance documentation requirements ensuring compliance with 21CFR111.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide technical related documentation and product information for all new international and domestic business development projects Serve as liaison with contract manufacturers and raw material suppliers on all technical information requests Responsible for providing required documentation and support to LE Europe, LE Thailand, and other international entities Create and maintain product dossiers as required to support international and domestic business Reviews labels finished product specifications and manufacturing specifications for ingredient accuracy Assist QA management in providing technical and research support for foreign product registration Complete regulatory questionnaires, BSE/TSE requests and all other technical requests to support business development Drive and analyze new raw material qualification for ingredients for compatibility in new product formulations; make recommendations to optimize current product potency and stability Provide support to technical services functions RFQ preparation, specification management, change controls and deviations. Ensure compliance to FSMA regulations by working with Contract Manufacturers on implementation of HACCP plans for all products Prepare and maintain documentation for applicable product certifications such as NSF and NSF Sport Provide support in the review and approval of written materials and technical documents Provide support on various quality systems including, but not limited to, Consumer Labs, IFOS, Non-GMO affirmation, Gluten-Free affirmation, label approvals, etc. Serve as secondary contact with suppliers on obtaining key technical information related to active and inactive ingredients Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position. Travel time required (approximately 25%) when troubleshooting of product pilots and production runs at contract manufacturers. Additional duties as needed

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in science or health-related field 2+ years of dietary supplement experience or equivalent within a QA environment Ability to interact with associates on all levels and communicate effectively across several functional areas Strong organization skills and detail oriented Excellent communication skills; verbal and written, including technical writing Ability to translate highly technical information so it is understandable for the target audience
