Position Overview :
Primary responsibilities are to certify airworthiness of all parts shipped to customers; ensure that the AERO Quality team meets all ISO, OEM and FAA requirements; ensure all suppliers’ products meet all requirements; and resolving hardware quality problems. This position is responsible to support shipping operations by (visual) inspection of hardware on behalf of the FAA and issuing airworthiness certificates.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Certify parts using FAA Form 8130-3 to meet FAA requirements. Designated Quality Representative (DQR) for various aerospace companies, approving aerospace parts for their quality systems. Ensure supplier products meet all requirements. Resolve product quality problems. Process customer returns. Communicate with customers, OEM and FAA. Manage the Quality Control Hold Area. Maintain a high level of knowledge with all FAA documents, laws, etc. Perform internal quality audits to AS9100 standards. Support and compliance with all
ATC/AERO
policies, programs, procedures and applicable laws.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated customer service, organizational, and communication skills Extensive quality background. High level of computer literacy. Qualified to inspect the airworthiness of hardware. Ability to understand engineering design drawings and specifications. Highly skilled at defining processes and creating appropriate manuals, training guides and instructions. Meet and maintain requirements to be approved by the FAA as a Designee. Familiarization with AS9100 aerospace requirements. Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships in a team-oriented environment to get the job done; respond positively to instructions and procedures. Education and Experience Quality and Aviation experience. Extensive experience with direct involvement with the FAA (or military equivalent).
