Job Summary Scrap Material Knowledge Needed:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scale Operator to join our team in a fast-paced Scrap Yard. The Scale Operator will be responsible for accurately weighing and recording the weight of incoming and outgoing scrap materials, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations. Responsibilities Operate and maintain scale equipment to ensure accurate measurements of scrap material. Record weights and maintain logs for incoming and outgoing scrap materials. Perform quality checks on scrap materials to ensure they meet company standards before shipment. Assist in the organization of the warehouse, ensuring that scrap materials are stored correctly. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Skills Experience working in a distribution center or similar warehouse environment is preferred. Proficient in order picking, packing, and fulfillment processes. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in weighing and recording materials. Knowledge of stock management practices within a warehouse setting.
