Job Summary:

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing inspections, tests, and quality assurance checks on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished medical devices to ensure compliance with established quality standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485), and company specifications. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and safety of our medical products.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections and tests on incoming materials, components, and finished medical devices according to established sampling plans and procedures.
Perform visual inspections, dimensional measurements, functional tests, and other quality control checks using various measuring equipment.
Accurately document all inspection and test results in quality records, logs, and databases.
Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials and products.
Assist in the investigation of quality issues, deviations, and customer complaints.
Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and measuring instruments.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Engineering) preferred.
3 + years of experience in quality control within a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry.
Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
Proficiency in using various measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators, electrical testing).
Excellent attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $19.00 – $20.00
