CMM Programmer Position Summary:
Develops, maintains, and generates CMM programs used to inspect and verify production materials and components. Reviews blueprints and specifications to establish correct inspection criteria following best practices. Proficient with PC-DMIS. Knowledge of ANSI/ASME, ISO, and GD&T. Familiar with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Essential Job Functions Develops and reviews quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured parts. Develops CMM process including designing fixtures, determining probes, and programming the machines. Participates on Material Review Boards, Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations. Identifies root cause of complex issues and ensures effective corrective / preventive action to improve processes. Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods. Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement. Makes the final decision on acceptability of product for internal and external customers. Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products (machined components and assemblies). Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues. - Familiar working in an FAA regulated industry.

First Article Inspection process
- Advanced experience with programming Hexagon CMM utilizing PC-DMIS for precision components. Zeiss and Calypso is also acceptable.
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T
- Experience with automated processes and robotic technologies
- Experience in creating & reviewing tool designs for work holding.
- Experience with use, calibration, and managing inspection gages and measuring equipment
- Lean / Six Sigma experience
- Experience with CMM programming, fixturing, and tooling
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
- Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues Physical Demands Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform and accomplish tasks.
