    Spherion Staffing of Lake, Marion and Sumter County is looking for a skilled and dedicated Coating Machine Operator to join our clients dynamic team at their manufacturing plant in Leesburg, FL.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our coated materials

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm OR 11:00 pm to 7:00 am (Must be able to train on the day shift: 7:00 AM

  • 3:00 PM)
Shift Length:

Typically 8 hours per shift, but may fluctuate

Starting Pay:

$17.77 per hour plus shift differential once moved to 3rd shift

Responsibilities:
  • Visually examines and feels the surface of rubber coated material to detect defects such as bond failure, scratches, bubbles, and other blemishes.
  • Records all defects on defect log.
  • Cuts material samples at beginning and ending of each master coil.
  • Assists in start up, shut down, and changeover of coating line.
  • Cleans tools and work area Working hours: 11:00 PM
  • 7:00
AM Skills:
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, coating operations, or quality control.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor equipment issues. …
  • Experience with log keeping and data entry for defect tracking.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
High School Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pass all required screening requirements.
  • Steel-toed boots required for workplace safety.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow quality control procedures.
  • Willingness to train on the day shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM) before transitioning to the assigned shift.
