We’re seeking an experienced QA Technician to ensuring our customers are provided with the highest quality product as well as excellent customer service. This individual also has a responsibility to ensure and maintain a food safe environment through compliance to all requirements of programs/policies for Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Quality, Workplace Safety, OSHA, Environmental, Sanitation Programs and as may be required by Plant, Company, Local, State and Federal mandates, or program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Test, follow up and improve the Bones Coffee Company quality and food safety policies/system. Support the execution of internal audits/inspections. Coordination and participation in certification audits (GFSI/SQF/GF). Identify and document best practices, ideas and information relevant to quality and food safety system. Identify, document and correct any problems related to the quality, food safety and legality of the products. Provides support to assure all operations associates are fully capable of achieving Quality & Food Safety GMP’s. Collaborates with employees to develop the Quality and Food Safety capabilities of operations personnel to enable them to drive towards zero Quality and Food Safety incidents. Provides support of Quality and Food Safety programs and evaluates for compliance through regular audits, inspections and risk assessments. Performs and/or coordinates analysis of process capability. Participates in investigations to determine and address root causes during special situations, quality failures, regulatory inspections, vendor (ingredient & packaging) related incidents, etc. to assure proper investigation, root cause analysis and resolution. Support quality and food safety improvement projects. Promotes the quality and food safety mission with the Bones Coffee Company HACCP/Food Safety team. Performs data analysis trending reports and action plans for their KPI´s. Coordinate execution of the Master Sanitation Schedules for all zones of facility by working with operations cleaning staff. Supports the use of quality tools such as SPC, Kaizen, 5-S, Problem Solving, etc. Takes direction from QA Manager on programs to reduce or eliminate consumer complaints (Quality and Food Safety). Participates in the mock recall team. Follows up on corrective action plans. Team player in this process. High involvement. Follows up with QA Manager on quality issues through ingredient and finished product testing, facility data and consumer complaints. Required Skills/Abilities • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Organized and detail oriented. Comfortable working in a participative team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects in manufacturing. Qualifications, Education, and Experience • High School diploma/GED preferred BS degree, in Food Science or related major preferred- Not Required 3 to 5 years of coffee roasting or Food Manufacturing operations management experience PCQI, HACCP, Food Defense and GFSI (SQF, BRC, IFS, etc.) Certified preferred Quality Management-Sanitation program training experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work. Preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Critical. Organized and detail oriented. Comfortable working in a participative team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects SQF Level 2 certifications and audits.
