We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented In-House MEP Quality Control Inspector to join our team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This is a comfortable, non-travel position —ideal for professionals looking for long-term stability while working in a climate-controlled, structured environment.
Position Overview:
The MEP QC Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and documenting the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems built within our factory. You will work directly on the factory floor, ensuring every unit meets high-quality standards and follows Florida state approval procedures—including Miami-Dade and Broward County regulations .
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct quality checks and verify proper installation of MEP components during modular unit fabrication inside the factory. Follow internal quality control procedures required for State of Florida modular approvals, including DBPR processes and local code compliance. Take detailed photos and document each section of the work to maintain accurate and auditable inspection records. Review, understand and execute MEP plans, to the team Communicate with in-house staff in both English and Spanish to resolve issues quickly and ensure corrective actions align with approved outline plans. Assist in preparing submission packages for inspections and certifications, including Miami-Dade and Broward County documentation requirements . Use Microsoft Excel, Word , and other digital tools to update inspection logs and reports. Participate in process improvements, safety checks, and internal quality meetings as needed. Understanding of construction in steel cold form – LGS industry
Qualifications:
Minimum Associate’s Degree (AS) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing-related field. Valid MEP license in one of the fields and OSHA safety certification required. 5+ years of experience in MEP installation, quality control, or inspection—preferably in a modular or multiunit setting. Experience with Miami-Dade and/or Broward County projects required. Knowledge of the Florida Building Code and procedures for factory-built modular approvals. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word , and mobile photo/documentation tools. Project management software tool( Monday, Trello, or similar)
Bilingual:
Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written). Organized, communicative, and able to thrive in a team-oriented production environment.
