Summary:
An industry-leading aerospace manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Metrologist to perform daily inspections of critical components such as Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Aircraft Tooling Components, and Engine Pedestals. This role will report directly to the Production Manager and play a crucial part at the beginning of the production process, ensuring precision and quality through various inspection techniques.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily inspections of machined aerospace products Utilize CMM machines (Zeiss Contura), Faro arms, and a variety of hand inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges Conduct visual inspections and blueprint readings to ensure accuracy and conformance Report findings clearly and consistently to the Production Manager Participate in hands-on inspections at the company”s quality labs Follow GD&T standards for part inspection and documentation Complete both written and practical testing as part of daily duties
Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (aviation industry experience a plus, but not required) Proficient with CMM and Faro Arm usage and programming Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading Skilled in using analog measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required) Bachelor”s degree or A&P License preferred, but not required
