We are looking to hire a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist II to join our team. The job title will support our Quality Assurance department. Job purpose The Quality Assurance Specialist II, is responsible for overseeing company and regulatory quality standards for product manufacturing to ensure that these operations are performed in a manner to meet the specifications for identity, purity, strength, and composition of the product and to prevent adulteration and misbranding. This role is critical to ensuring the quality standards and procedures in our Manufacturing and blending area. We are seeking a candidate who is proficient in communicating, tracking, and managing day-to-day detailed information, who has experience with Quality Assurance processes. Duties and Responsibilities
Outline quality assurance policies and procedures.

Interpret and comply with quality assurance standards.

Make sure that quality assurance standards are adequate.

Oversee the implementation and ensure the efficiency of inspection and quality systems.

Plan, perform, and oversee inspection and testing of products to ensure the quality deliverable.

Set specifications for raw materials, packaging components, in-process products, and finished products, among others.

Assist in quality assurance activities, such as internal audits.

Assist in the analysis of the audit outcomes and carry out appropriate corrective procedures.

Investigate and analyze customer complaints and other non-compliance issues.

Elaborate, recommend, and oversee improvement actions.

Review and approve deviation reports, change control and CAPA reports.

Oversee risk management procedures.

Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Capabilities
Attention to detail and strong observational skills.

Analytical skills for evaluating test results and identifying trends.

Ability to operate standard QC equipment and perform basic tests.

Proficient in Microsoft Office or quality management software.

Good communication skills to report findings and collaborate with production teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in the related field. 2- 4 years of related experience in the industry. Fully Bilingual preferred ( English & Spanish ) Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills requiredVery detail-oriented and quality-minded. Knack for implementation of corrective action programs. Able to follow directions and communicate, able to write clearly, and is literate. Computer skills, including experience with databases and Microsoft Office.

Knowledge:

Understanding of GMP, SOPs, Familiarity with blending operations is a plus.

This position is not remote. It is in the office.

This job operates in a clerical office, as well as a factory setting.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Work involves standing, bending, and stretchingProduction areas will require the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, hair coverings, and a uniform.
