Quality Control Specialist Amerikooler Hialeah, FL 33010 Position Overview The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive quality control system that supports product excellence throughout the entire manufacturing process—from raw materials to packaging and final delivery. This role includes the development of key quality metrics, control plans, and the creation of work instructions to ensure all quality standards are clearly defined and upheld across departments. Key Responsibilities Develop and update quality inspection procedures and documentation. Perform routine in-process and final inspections on fabricated parts, assemblies, and finished units. Analyze production quality data and assist in identifying trends or areas for improvement. Investigate non-conformances, participate in root cause analysis, and contribute to corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes. Work with suppliers and incoming material inspections to verify conformity to specifications. Support internal audits and help prepare for external audits or customer visits. Maintain accurate quality records and reports in compliance with QMS requirements. Participate in team-based continuous improvement projects using Lean or Six Sigma principles. Communicate clearly with production teams, engineers, and management regarding quality issues or updates. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field . 2-4 years of experience in a quality engineering, manufacturing, or quality control environment. Working knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, UL, and NSF (industry-specific knowledge is a plus). Experience with measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and basic statistical analysis. Familiarity with root cause analysis tools , such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, or 8D. Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications . Preferred Qualifications Experience in metal fabrication, refrigeration, or insulated panel manufacturing . Exposure to ERP systems and quality documentation tools. Lean, Six Sigma, or CQE certification (in progress or completed). Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset. Work Environment Split between office and shop floor environments. May involve light physical inspection work and occasional travel to suppliers or customers. Requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of PPE.
