Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector provides essential technical support to operating and engineering teams by performing inspections and nondestructive testing (NDT) to ensure structures, systems, equipment, and components meet specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards across all aspects of production and operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and coordinate nondestructive testing (NDT) on various components to verify compliance with specifications and standards. Inspect parts, assemblies, subassemblies, procedures, and documentation to ensure conformance to drawings, prints, and quality requirements. Identify quality issues, initiate non-conformance reports (NCRs), and recommend corrective actions. Complete and maintain quality records, reports, and documentation accurately and timely. Analyze quality data to identify trends and propose process improvements. Conduct specialized and dimensional testing as required to ensure product integrity. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality-related problems and drive continuous improvement. Travel to various facilities as needed to perform inspections and testing. Develop and maintain strong relationships with technical counterparts, trade allies, and customers.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years of related inspection, testing, or quality control experience in the power or manufacturing industry. Knowledge of nondestructive testing methods and dimensional inspection techniques. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel to different facilities as required.
