Chief Quality Inspector (part of Adecco) 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Delray Beach, FL 33483 We are seeking an experienced Chief Quality Inspector to lead inspection and quality assurance activities within a precision manufacturing environment. This role requires strong expertise in mechanical parts inspection, a deep understanding of quality standards, and the ability to guide and enforce rigorous quality protocols.
Key Qualifications:
Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and direct inspection personnel Hands-on experience inspecting mechanical components in a production setting Skilled in the use of hand measurement tools, gages, and optical inspection equipment Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical documentation, and manuals Familiarity with MIL-specs and relevant industry quality standards Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Capable of preparing inspection documentation in accordance with AS9102 Physically able to sit/stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections on incoming materials and finished goods against engineering specifications Identify and document nonconformances; initiate corrective documentation as needed Accept or reject lots based on detailed inspection findings Confirm the accuracy and completeness of supplier-provided inspection data prior to customer delivery Conduct focused inspections of high-risk components Review inspection records and certification packages to ensure compliance with customer requirements Serve as the Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) Interface with Customer Quality Assurance Representatives (QAR) and present First Article Inspections Exercise the authority to stop production or shipment in the event of potential nonconformance A Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
