Job DescriptionJob Description
Perform routine inspections of packaging operations, including tablet/capsule counts, label
accuracy, seals, and packaging integrity.
 Verify line clearance and changeover documentation prior to production start.
 Conduct in-process checks for label placement, lot code accuracy, and container fill levels.
 Sample and inspect incoming packaging materials (e.g., bottles, lids, labels) and bulk
products according to SOPs.
 Maintain accurate, legible, and complete documentation (batch records, inspection logs,
deviation forms).
 Assist with root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action (CAPA)
implementation.
 Ensure allergen control procedures are followed and documented.
 Monitor environmental and sanitation conditions in production areas.
 Calibrate or verify measuring equipment (e.g., scales, checkweighers) as required.
 Report quality issues to QA Manager immediately.
 Participate in internal audits, quality training, and process improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

 High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in a scientific or technical field
preferred.
 1-3 years of experience in a QC/QA role in food, dietary supplements, or pharmaceutical
manufacturing.
 Knowledge of FDA cGMP regulations (21 CFR Part 111) and quality systems.
 Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines.  Proficient in reading and interpreting product labels, batch records, and quality
specifications.
 Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
 Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email).
 Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

 Experience with allergen control, line clearance, and HACCP documentation.
 Familiarity with ISO 9001 or NSF certification processes.
 Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
