Summary:
Seeking a Quality Inspector with expertise in mechanical parts inspection within a manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
Experience inspecting mechanical parts in manufacturing Proficiency with quality inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gages, optical tools) Ability to interpret blueprints, technical documents, and manuals Understanding of MIL-standards and industry standards Capability to generate inspection reports including FAI reports based on AS9102 standards Physical ability to stand/sit for long periods and lift up to 25lbs Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials against engineering prints Document discrepancies and outcomes of inspections Verify inputs from suppliers and outputs before delivery to customers Inspect at-risk components for quality assurance Review documentation for product conformity to customer requirements Serve as Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) Present First Articles Inspections to Customer QAR Stop processes and notify Quality Control Manager when nonconformance is detected
