  • 10:00 PM, 3rd: 9:45 PM
  • 6:00 AM) and weekends as needed.

About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Saint Petersburg, FL. In this essential role, you will serve as a key representative of the Quality Assurance department, performing inspections to ensure that only the highest-quality products are shipped to our customers. You will also play a critical role in supporting our Manufacturing Operations by identifying defects, analyzing failure data, and helping to maintain compliance with quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform 100% functional and visual inspections on materials and products in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner. Record and report inspection results, nonconformance data, and failure analysis using SAP and related databases. Conduct detailed inspections where quality limits may not be clearly defined, using judgment and experience to ensure quality. Coordinate with production teams when inspection data exceeds specifications or when defects are found. Recommend dispositions for questionable materials or products. Collect data, analyze trends, and prepare reports and presentations for quality metrics. Conduct root cause failure analysis and manage the disposition of returned materials. Create and maintain work instructions related to inspection and process improvements. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of incoming components. Act as a liaison between the Quality department and other teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain. Required Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED. At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or quality control environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures. Familiarity with quality concepts and terminology (e.g., ISO 9000). Understanding of basic engineering and manufacturing processes. Proficient in quality inspection techniques and the use of handheld gauges. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Comfortable interacting with all levels of staff across departments. Self-motivated and proactive with a commitment to continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or certification as a Quality, Mechanical, or Electrical Technician. Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Requires standing for extended periods and the ability to move materials throughout the facility. Exposure to a high-traffic production environment with noise from machinery and forklifts. Flexibility to work various shifts and occasional weekends based on operational needs.
