Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Associate to join our team. As an individual contributor, the Quality Associate will be responsible for performing incoming inspections, safety net inspections, and assisting with packaging at the end of the production line. Additionally, the role can involve managing product returns, conducting Material Review Board (MRB) activities, performing in-line inspections, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and communicating with suppliers regarding quality issues and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR). Knowledge of

Responsibilities:
Perform incoming inspections to ensure the quality of materials received.
Conduct safety net inspections to identify and mitigate potential quality issues.
Assist with packaging at the end of the production line to ensure products meet quality standards.
Manage product returns and coordinate MRB activities to address quality concerns.
Perform in-line inspections to monitor and maintain product quality during production.
Provide ongoing support to the production line in addressing daily and recurrent quality issues. This involves identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and continuously monitoring the effectiveness of these solutions to ensure consistent product quality.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve quality issues.
Communicate with suppliers to address quality concerns and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).
Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Mechanical and visual inspection of parts/assemblies and finished product.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and checklists.
Setting priorities to support production and logistics.
Requirements:
3 to 5 years of proven experience in quality inspection and technical assurance.
Strong understanding of quality control processes and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
Knowledge of
ISO 9001
standards is an asset.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in quality management or related fields are a plus 5.
Previous experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing or production environment 6.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift, push, pull and transport simulators and associated equipment
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing; computer use; video production and presentation
Able to facilitate education in both live and virtual environments
