General Statement of Job Under direct supervision, performs a variety of duties associated with receiving, stocking, distributing, and inventory of supplies and materials; and performs related duties as assigned.

Essential Duties:

Verify incoming parts, supplies and materials against purchase order and delivery ticket. Issue and deliver supplies and materials; maintain reports and documentation of items issued. Assist with periodic inventory of supplies and materials, obtains quotes and reorders stock to maintain proper inventory in warehouses. Assist in unloading supplies and materials and stocks supplies on shelves for inventory. Maintain computer and other records and files associated with receipt, distribution, return, repair and maintenance of supplies, materials and equipment. Maintain and update material safety data sheets and posts notices as prescribed by law. Assist in establishing minimum and maximum inventory supply levels to help ensure the Agency does not run out of needed supplies. Perform other duties as apparent or assigned. Education, Experience, and Licenses A High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of prior warehouse or stockroom experience. Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of warehousing techniques. Knowledge of the proper use of computers and standard office equipment. Knowledge of standard warehouse or stockroom practices and procedures. Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures. Skill in using computer and basic application software used in warehouse or stockroom operations. Skill in using common office machinery and equipment. Skill in mathematics, more specifically basic algebra and statistics. Skill in using common warehouse machinery and equipment. Skill in following written and oral instructions. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including agency employees and vendors. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

Work involves moderatephysical work in a warehouse setting with exposure to moderate levels of humidity, cold, heat, and hazardous chemicals. There is frequent need to drive, stand, stoop, walk, lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Must possess the ability to see (color and depth perception), hear and speak at an above average level.
