Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector II is responsible for the overall quality of the boat. This person ensures that all options and functions are checked and operate correctly along with ensuring the boat meets the cosmetic criteria and regulatory standards. This position requires proficiency in 3 of the 5 areas listed below: Lamination Inspect ion Pre-deck Inspection Final inspection Pool Inspection Performance & Compliance Inspection Responsibilities /Duties/Functions /

Tasks:

Accountable for ensuring that Quality standards and objectives are met or exceeded. Review Quality and/or Warranty issues and determine root cause. Perform corrective actions for process and product improvement. Effectively communicate potential problem resolution. Collaborate with peers to present opportunities and recommend countermeasures. Proficient in all inspection points which may include but are not limited to: Vital to Quality (safety) verification Regulatory verification Functional verification Cosmetic verification Ensure all options in boat Can complete the required system checks as required.

Some examples are as follows:

AC/DC electrical equipment Drainage system Fresh water system Waste system Fuel system & fuel restriction test AC/Heat Propulsion system Performance testing in pool or inshore Able to provide audits in all areas to support improvement activities. Team oriented, able to contribute to positive morale within the department. Maintain a clean and organized workplace and foster peers. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be proficient as an inspector and actively train Quality I technicians on processes. General knowledge and understanding of required power tools. Must be able to understand and execute top quality. Must be able to stand and work in and around boats/molds throughout the entire day. Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
