Purpose of Position:
Improve overall Boston Whaler product quality by working closely with all Boston Whaler team members to drive quality at the source, and minimize resources required to achieve manufacturing goals with optimal quality levels.
Responsible For:
Conduct product in process and final inspections of the product
Conduct audits to verify compliance with internal requirements
Identify cause of process / product deviation and address corrective actions
Complete required documentation for inspection activity • Review and document discrepancies noted during inspection
Review and classify discrepancies and initiate a formal nonconformance based on impact and cause
Support production to clarify design and process requirements
Feedback issues / concerns to the point of origin
Support corrective actions to improve Key Performance Indicators
Experience/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Solid computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret prints and standards
Experience as mentor level in production required
Maintain mentor status
Knowledge of basic measurement tools required
Knowledge of enterprise systems (EQMS, QC2, dwg print library, etc )
Physical Requirements and Activities:
Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required which may include respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits.
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Anything over 50 lbs requires a team lift effort.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. The work location may be 60°F to above 100°F ambient in areas of production.
Use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and to manipulate material.
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Observes, receives, and otherwise obtains information from all relevant sources.
Be able to control mechanisms or use direct physical activity to operate machinery.
Troubleshoots equipment or materials to identify the cause of errors/defects.
The pay range for this position is $21.95•$28.55, hourly. In addition to base pay, a $1.00 lamination premium will be included. In addition to base pay, a $2.00 night shift premium will be included. In addition to base pay, a weekend premium of $3.00 will be included for any weekend day worked. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program.
