RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Follow all Safety Rules for Department and Entire Facility. Must be familiar with the operation of all Godet rolls, switches, heaters, and aspirators on BCF spinning machine. Must be familiar with the correct yarn path/yarn thread/wraps on the BCF Spinning machine, and able to rethread it in a timely manner. Must be familiar with Instrumar alarm lights. Responsible for operating and doffing winders when yarn cycle is complete. Perform online quality inspection of yarn (i.e. shade, air tack, winding, proper labels, etc.). Properly packing out yarn on buggies, and label with correct information in delivering a first quality product. Train new and/or existing operators until competent. Keeping machine’s cleaned and wiped down at all times. (String Waste, Tack Box, Spin Finish Trays, Etc.) Responsible for general housekeeping of work area (Trash, Sweeping, Mopping, and Wiping down assigned BCF Spinning machine, Etc.) Transport yarn Test Buggy to Lab for Quality Testing. Be aware of Aquafil’s Recycling Guidelines and Environmental Management Systems Policy (see supervisor if further explanation is needed).

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Assist the Supervisors/Crew Leaders during product changes and spin pack changes when or if needed. Assist all other operators when needed. Maintain Automotive Alarm Record documentation. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor, line technician or crew leader.
