Job Description:

This role is a key QA role within our manufacturing plant and supports QA team leads as they ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements. This position responsible for performing finished goods sampling and inspections verifying compliance to customer specifications and Quality Assurance SOPs and Food Safety policies. technical savvy and utilizes knowledge to trouble shoot quality problems and investigate foreign object occurrences ensuring food safety and adhering to SOPs when handling these events. Multi-task and cover inspections on multiple production lines. Is computer literate on Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point, outlook). Ensures Non-Conforming Product occurrences are properly logged and addressed. Conducts sensory analysis and trouble shoots when negative trends are identified. Compliance with SQF requirements. Conducts audits on Critical Control Point (CCPs), documents and conducts direct observations. Ensures compliance to allergen control program through ingredient and label verifications. Conducts daily GMP audits of the production lines. The candidate in this position must be self-motivated, problem solver with excellent communication skills and strong intrapersonal skills. Must be able to work unsupervised. Record or compile test results or prepare graphs, charts, or reports. Conduct standardized tests on food, beverages, additives, or preservatives to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, texture, or nutrients. Ensures that Critical Control Points (CCP), pH is monitored and reported per company policies and procedures. Evaluates all aspects of the monitoring function of products are within the food safety and quality guidelines, as defined in company policy and customer specifications. Requests that appropriate materials are retrieved and staged for laboratory needs. Perform duties as assigned in accordance to GMP’s and company policies and procedures to results in the production of safe, quality food that will conform to customer specifications. Special projects as provided from corporate. Support QS Supervisor with data entry, monthly chemical and lab inventory. Notify manager of unusual conditions and foreign objects sighted. Remain at workstation unless properly relieved. Conducts weight checks, Labels, Ingredient Verifications and Seal Integrity tests on finished products as required by SOPs Overseas production lines and line quality checks ensuring compliance to specifications and Quality Assurance SOPs. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

In person regular attendance at the facility is necessary for the position. Preform work 75% outdoors: extreme hot and cold conditions. Must have attention to detail by being thorough in completing work tasks. Must have good communication skills. Must have the ability to work in cross functional situations. Must utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Lifting, bending, ability to stand, walk for extended periods of time. Comprehension of basic math, Computer Literate (Microsoft Office (access databases, Excel, Word), statistical process software, etc. Ability to work flexible schedule and in fast paced environment. Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet environment. Ability to work independently, unsupervised and in a team environment. Must be able to monitor product / process to identify and address any non-compliance.
