Job Description:

Will need to be flexible to working overtime with little to no advanced notice. Weekend work may be required General Description of Responsibilities Supports and champions continuous improvement including safety, quality, production, cost containment, housekeeping as well as logistically organizing the shipping department. Work with minimum supervision during the night shift. Provides positive participation through personal example in a team environment. Promotes safety, pride and respect while always supporting Greif values. Support shipping, quality control and proper truck loading to ensure a presentable product to customer. Follow guidelines, safely load trucks with finished product using various hand tools to complete job. Correct shipping documentation, scan BOL’s, sign in sheets, scanning truck and trailer inspections into computer. Load/receive incoming trucks. Provide input to shipping supervisor for documented coaching, counseling, performance reviews and disciplinary actions as necessary. Participate in customer complaints investigations with corrective actions to prevent future issues. Participate in inventory management – work with production to ensure warehouses are neat and orderly. Participate in cross training and advancement training. Must be detailed oriented. Must be able to operate a computer. Additional duties as assigned by Shipping Manager/Supervisor.

Desired Experience/Qualifications/Education:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills:

Must be an experienced lift driver. Must have Computer skills. Knowledge of SBP experience, Microsoft word and excel. Must have knowledge and skills with basic hand tools. Know LOTO and safety procedures. Ability to solve basic math problems, including reading a measuring tape accurately.
