SUMMARY:
Coordinate the academic, career, business, industry, and post-secondary community partnerships on behalf of Fayette County Schools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance 2.Facilitate strategic innovations on behalf of Fayette County Schools, including but not limited to STEM initiatives, COI, and state Economic Development Partnership designation 3.Serve as the liaison between the schools and business/industry partners to ensure consistent communication and protocols 4.Facilitate and coordinate the development of collateral tools and materials in support of business partnerships. (i.e. web app connecting education & business/industry partners, marketing materials, presentations, etc.) 5.Facilitate and coordinate in-kind and financial contributions in support of the Fayette County School District and report contributions to internal and external stakeholders 6.Coordinate with business/industry partners to maintain accurate community investment data for official business and community partner involvement 7.Communicate business/industry partnership information such as community investment hours with district communications office, outside media, and internal and external stakeholders 8.Attend community and district meetings to network, enhance partnerships, and provide experiential learning opportunities for students (i.e. Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development, Fayette Visioning’s Education and Workforce Development, STEM) 9.Assist and support advisory committees 10.Develops a supportive framework which provides resource(s) to assist teachers and business/industry partners to engage with one another 11.Coordinate/facilitate experiential learning experiences for students and teachers (i.e., field trips, job shadows, guest speakers, educator externships) 12.Coordinate Governor’s Honors Program through selection of judges and preparation of nominated students 13.Assist district teachers and students in achieving GeorgiaBEST employability skills certification 14.Collaborate with the Coordinator of WBL and YAP to identify and develop new opportunities for placements of WBL and YAP students 15.Work with the Coordinator of WBL and YAP to host an annual business partner appreciation event for all business partners at the end of each school year 16.Work with educators (i.e., counselors, administrators, teachers) by providing information to assist in career awareness and exploration 17.Coordinate the REACH Georgia Program 18.Coordinate leadership development at the student, teacher, and school leaders level 19.Plan administrative institutes and trainings for district leaders 20.Coordinate and review services provided annually 21.Perform any assignment or special project as assigned by the Superintendent 2025 22.Assist Director of Facilities with construction projects 23.Provide guidance and support to new principals on leadership development, school organization, and parent engagement, in alignment with the Superintendent’s directives 24.Collaborate with law enforcement and the Fayette County Board of Education to enhance communication, cooperation, and teamwork among the law enforcement agencies, schools and the community 25.Assist the Technology Department with collaboration and communication between the department and the schools 26.Support the Transportation Department by providing innovative strategies to enhance efficiency and boost team morale 27.Perform other duties as assigned and allowable by intended program
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of five (5) years as an educator or business related equivalent Hold or be eligible for an SRL-5 certificate in Educational Leadership or business related equivalent Leadership experience Demonstrated transformational leadership experience Excellent organizational skills and task oriented Project management experience Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Desire to promote the alignment of education to workforce development
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Routine physical activities associated with typical office setting. Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling and repetitive fine motor activities. Vision, hearing and verbal communications are essential functions of this position.
